| As your dream turns into reality… as you’re about to enter into sacred matrimony... as you perceive and plan one of the grandest moments of your life, there are a very crucial and significant points you need to keep in mind when you choose Thailand as your wedding destination. |
| |
- Once the wedding date is fixed and you’re in the process of finalizing the hotel, confirm a planner first. S/he will know how to get the maximum benefits from that deal. This will help you save money.
- Be forthright about your financial specifications when in discussion with your planner. S/he can then plan the entire celebration accordingly.
- Early on make your special requirements clear. Like, certain vendors need to be booked well in advance – local mehendi girls, make-up and hair artists. Or if you have a requirement like say vegetarian food, your planner gets enough time to arrange for them.
- Ask your planner to include details in the welcome booklet for guests. It should carry local information in addition to details of all functions and contact details of the planner’s team. Here, if a personal welcome note by the couple/family is inserted as the first page, it makes a difference.
- To help the planner make your destination wedding a complete delight, notify her/him and the transport company about the arrival and departure details of your guests. This should be ideally done 2-3 weeks prior to the ceremony.
- For a smooth arrival, ask your guests to come with the Thai visa, instead of waiting in queue for a visa on arrival.
- Provide your planner with all the details of wrappings and packaging of any baskets/gifts etc. that you’d like. This should be done at least a month in advance to ensure all color coordinated materials can be arranged for in the stipulated time.
- By nature Thai people are very polite and hospitable. They are an organized lot who like to pay attention to every detail. All this is time consuming. Hence, if they’re informed about all the requirements much in advance, it eradicates any last minute confusion.
